The Six Best Reasons to Own Metal Picture Frames
What are the main benefits to owning and displaying a metal picture frame?
There is an enormous variety from which to choose your frame. Selecting the ideal picture frame for your location will give your photograph(s) greater impact. It will also lend a professional air to the photo you choose.
Metal picture frames are sturdy whether made from silver, pewter, iron or another metal. Your photo will be protected from damage, especially with a glass covering. If you have little ones or pets big enough to investigate, this may prove a valuable feature.
Metal photo frames come in almost any color imaginable so that you can find one to set off any surroundings in your home or office. The finish may be the metal itself, in either a matte or glossy style, or the metal might be painted any color matching or contrasting the theme of the room in which you place it. Some metal frames even have a wood-like surface. Black frames are classics, but don’t hold back when you find ones in colors or finishes that are somewhat unusual, for they may be the most dramatic in your particular setting.
Most metal frames are almost always very reasonably priced. You will pay more for sterling silver, of course, but a frame made of silver plate will look just as rich and glowing at a much lower price.
Many of the most stylish metal frames are contemporary art pieces. Designs in metal run the gamut from traditional to real art pieces. Wall-hung frames in the latter category may be true room decorations in themselves as well as foundations to support and display your photos. What better way to draw attention to your most special pictures than to pull the eye in their direction with an unusual picture frame?
Metal collage picture frames come in many styles and will hold from two to nine or perhaps even more photos in one display. This is a great way to cluster photos and show all of them at once. You could pick photos that represent a family group, a particular outing, a memorable event such as a wedding or birthday, ones that will remind everyone of a terrific vacation, or you could select photos to chronicle the growing-up years of a particular family member. The latter idea is a wonderful way to honor a child by showing off important milestones in his or her young life. Even kids who don’t usually enjoy having their photos taken will be pleased that you care enough to give them a prominent display place.
